How do I talk with God?
It is very simple, REALLY!
Simply engage in a conversation with God—this is no joke. He eagerly awaits a heartfelt exchange with you. Whether it's through your thoughts, written words, or spoken aloud, communicate in the way that feels most natural to you. Wherever you find yourself, be it in your car, home, airplane, park, hospital, or even in your darkest moments, God is present.
Express to Him that you've missed His presence and convey your desire to either discover Him for the first time or return to Him after an extended absence. The circumstances don't matter; just open up to Him. The specific words you use aren't crucial; what matters is expressing your love for Him. Let Him know you seek assistance in overcoming challenges because you can't do it on your own, you yearn for an eternal relationship with Him, you feel dirty and ashamed, you wish to understand the sacrifice of Jesus has done and are now believing in his sonship, you seek forgiveness, and you desire guidance from your Father throughout your journey here on earth. Remember, you are a cherished daughter of a loving King!
1 John 1:8-10 (Amplified Bible)
8If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude and lead ourselves astray, and the Truth [which the Gospel presents] is not in us [does not dwell in our hearts].
9If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].
10If we say (claim) we have not sinned; we contradict His Word and make Him out to be false and a liar, and His Word is not in us [the divine message of the Gospel is not in our hearts.
